My new travel partner (seriously)
I just returned from a trip to Chicago. I am a chronic overpacker. I always pack hair tools, my travel steamer, and those alone can take up an entire carry on. I was fortunate enough however, to be able to give this 2 in 1 hair straightener and iron a try. I was hesitant but excited. I had some nice dinner plans and needed to do my hair as well as get some wrinkles out of a dress I had packed. I was truly surprised and impressed with how user friendly the product is. It works just like a standard hair straightener and then I just flipped the switch to turn on the garment iron (outer plate). It was SO easy and was so quick to use. I cannot wait to travel again and just to know I have my new travel partner, TravelSmart Duo, with me, makes it all the more fun!

Convenience With Quality Issues
I like the concept of Conair's Travel Smart 2-in-1 Styling and Garment Iron. It's a great space saver for packing and being on the go. However, there are quite a few flaws with the design and functionality. The flat iron was just okay and it took several pass throughs to get my hair smooth and straight when comparing it to my normal flat iron. The garment iron also had one setting which isn't functional for me as my clothes vary from different types of material. Overall, if the quality of the iron was better and the garment iron had several settings for temperatures it would be of better use. I don't see myself using this for travel because the flat iron just took too long. Another plus to add was that I did appreciate the safety lock when using the flat iron.

Iron Didn't Work
When I first opened the package I was confused about its size and shape because it was supposed to be for travel. But as I used it, it was made effectively making it easy to use as a hair implement and a clothing iron. The hair iron section works beautifully. My hair looked great after using it. Onto the clothing part. First, they say to use it on a good ironing board. Look, if I had access to a good ironing board while traveling, I would have an iron and wouldn't need this product. I was told it would heat up in five minutes and the red light would come on. It NEVER came on and the heat it did get to didn't do anything about wrinkles.
This is a great idea and if it worked I would have given it five stars. It only gets two because the hair section works nicely.

Definitely would recommend
Thank you Conair for sending me this Travel Smart 2-in-1 Styling & Garment Iron through the BZZAgent Sampling Program for free for my honest review. I am awful at ironing, I seem to create more wrinkles than I am getting rid of or constantly burn my fingers. With this product, I didn't burn them once. The fact that this is a 2-in-1 product is especially helpful when you are tight on space, whether it be for storage or for packing. Besides being very convenient and a very useful product, it also seems to be well made.

I wanted to love this game
I really was excited that this was available and I wanted to love it. I did give it 2 stars instead of one because it did straighten my hair a little - not great - but at least a little. The iron portion in the other hand was simply not hit enough to handle cotton or linen. I spent an hour trying to get the wrinkles out of one side of a linen shirt - the other side I sprayed for 30 seconds with a wrinkle release. Same results. So disappointing. This would be a great product if it hiad reasonable heat.

Good For Travel
This 2-in-1 travel styling and garment iron is good for on the go. The iron is easy to use, simply take off the plastic guard, turn it on and wait for it to heat up. The styling iron is similarly easy to use, make sure the plastic guard is on the iron, turn it on and wait for it to heat up. There is an indicator on the iron that turns red to let you know when it has reached its max heat level. Neither the iron nor hair styler get very hot, so it takes longer when using this tool to style your hair or iron. The styling side only gets up to three hundred degrees, so if you have thick or textured hair, this will not be a great option for you. While it does take a long time to iron or style, I do feel like this is a good tool to have when traveling because it will eventually get the job done.

A bit bulky
This is a bit bulky to use, it has an odd angle to it that you have to get used it, plus it's heavier than my regular straighteners. It straightens ok, no different than a brush and blow dryer can do. The temp is not adjustable so that limits it's uses for different hair types. The garment press is a novel idea, and does ok for in a pinch. Prefer a steamer but since it's a travel item, can see how a 2-in-1 saves space. Going to try to bring it on my next cruise to see if it passes inspection.

Would be great for long haired business travelers.
Pro's: 2 uses in 1 product, which saves space in your luggage. Straightened my hair well enough. Ergonomic shape. Would be great for business travel.
Con's: Not as smooth gliding as my home/regular flat iron. No temperature control. I'm afraid to iron my clothing with it, but it does work nicely on chinos/khakis.
I would probably not purchase this product for myself, however I would recommend this to long haired people who travel frequently and wear khakis and button-ups (I do not).

Perfect for someone on the go who likes to travels light!
Conair sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program so I could provide some honest feedback! The Travel Smart 2-in-1 Styling & Garment Iron is a clever product! It would be ideal for someone who travels a lot and likes to travel light. I could also see someone buying it that travels far for work and has a long day but wants to be able to touch up! You could easily have this in your purse and iron a shirt quickly or touch up your hair. Both the straightener and iron are efficient, they heat up pretty quickly and do what they say. It does take a bit longer than an iron would but I think that is to be expected as there is only one heat setting for each use. I do like that it has the safety feature so you can only heat up one or the other at a time. I'd definitely recommend this to someone who is very on the go!

The perfect combination that I've never thought of before.
This will be a must-carry item on all my trips, sturdy material, adjustable temperature for different purposes. Versatile but very compact and easy to use. I tried ironing clothes using the ironing feature,it took a bit of time then usual because the ironing surface area is small, but the clothes were very flat, better than my expectations. As for hairstyle, there is no need to say more 10/10

Game changer
I used this iron for both ironing clothes and my hair.
I love the lock and cover for when you use it as an iron. These make it easy and safe to use when ironing clothes. It doesn't get super hot, so you may not be able to use this for deep wrinkles or heavier fabrics. But I think it would work well in a pinch when traveling.
The hair straightener works very well. I have coarse, wavy hair, and my hair was smooth and shiny when I finished.

I will not purchase it
I tried using this product for both my hair and on my clothes. Initially, I loved its design because it's convenient for various functions such as straightening hair or ironing clothes when traveling. However, while it works well for my hair, giving it a straight look, it's not effective for ironing. It took me 30 minutes just to iron one tiny t-shirt, and it's still not perfectly straight. So, I don't think I will buy it again.

I can't believe I've gone this long without this!
It's so convenient to be able to use one tool for both my hair and clothing! I've used my flat iron on my clothes before during desperate times, but I've always been afraid it would damage the fabric. I can tell that this iron works at the perfect temperature, and isn't damaging to my clothing or hair! I travel a lot, so this is going straight to my suitcase! Convenient for travel!!
I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review. Make sure you have the outer plate cover on or the iron won't work. Use on hair first then switch to iron clothes. Inside reaches up to 395 degrees and outside up to 300 degrees which is a medium setting for clothes iron. Overall awesome for travel. The only downside is not being able to control the temperature, it's either on hair mode or clothes mode.

Love that this is a 2 in 1 style duo and great for traveling. Tried it on my clothes and it helped get rid of wrinkles. I also tried it on my hair and it straightened it great. I do wish that there was a heat setting for the hair, I have fine thin hair and don't like to use high heat on my hair. It is harder to use on short pieces of hair like my bangs, if you have short hair I don't think it would work for you.

Extremely useful for travel.
For years I've been using my flat iron as an iron for my clothes while traveling. So this is incredibly convenient. The flat iron component is made of ceramic plates which heat up to 395 degrees. The only drawback is that the temperature is not adjustable, and I normally only go up to 300, but then again, I don't think this flat iron wasn't made for everyday use. Very useful, makes for a good gift.

I brought this iron on a weekend getaway and sadly I was disappointed in its performance. I had a linen dress that needed ironing and this device just didn't get hot enough to get the wrinkles out completely. I know linen is a tough fabric to iron so maybe this will work fine on lighter materials like cotton or satin. I eventually gave up on this and plugged in a regular iron to get the job done.

The travel smart 2 in 1 styling & garment iron is great to use around the house and to take in your next trip. It has a plate to protect it while using to do your hair. The plate you can storage in the other side while ironing the clothes. It heat up very fast while using the clothe iron, also it won't heat up if the cover is not there for do you hair. It leave the hair very straight and shines.

Very innovative
This product is pretty cool because of the double use. It works well for both uses but I do have some concerns. It's pretty bulky but the iron part of it is not big, and hair gets caught in it. I do like that you have to close one side to be able to use the other so it's pretty safe and you won't get burned. It's pretty useful for traveling for both uses even though it is a little bulky.

I really wanted to love this product. I was very excited for the 2 in 1 feature. The hair straightener side works really well however the garment side does not snd that was the part i wanted to love. We took this product on a trip and was excited to use the garment side to iron out the wrinkles on our clothes. Overall good product

Very Convenient! Perfect for vacations.
Whenever I am traveling, I am always overwhelmed that I have to pack multiple items. This straightener and iron combo is perfect. I had it on my last trip and it was perfect because my suite did not have an iron for me to use. I was able to touch up my hair before dinner after ironing my dress and it was so each to switch it over.

Not Great At All!
It doesn't have temperature to increase to heat up more. It really doesn't heat up a lot. It didn't do a good job in flatting my hair. I have like dead hair and could get it to look nice. I had to pass the iron on my hair 5-6 times to at least make it look somewhat better. It didn't do a good job. Not satisfied at all.

Amazing product!
I wasn't expecting this to arrived early before my out of town trip. Perfect timing! I used it many times and wow it works great! I love it! The styling iron heats well and fast. Biggest complaint is it's a little bulky I usually prefer thin hair irons but it's perfect for travel durability. Had no smell when heating. It irons garments well. I don't believe it's an everyday product for my hair but for my clothes yes! Will be taking it on every single trip.

Convenient took!
This is such a great product for any away trip or over night trip. So many times I would iron my clothes with a straightener that did not do the job right. With this tools makes it's easy to travel light and have eveything. I would just say that I wish they had a temp control on this.

This is definitely an amazing product. I love that it's so compact and easy to travel with. The sleek design is great. The heated plates were able to straighten by hair effortlessly. It's really great that you can use it as an iron to get out those unwanted wrinkles.

I would buy this product again
This product doubles as a travel iron and flat/curling iron and what I liked most about the product is the locking mechanism it has that changes for each use. This help so you don't burn your fingers. It's a great travel product that I'll be using for my cruises.

The CONAIR 2 in 1 is genius! Straightened my hair just as good as my chi hair straightener. And the other side works great for ironing my pants. This is great for travel. Comes with a case over the iron side and locks for the straightener side. Highly recommend!
